DESCRIPTION
The Indian Land Tenure Foundation uses education, planning
and advocacy to insure control and effective use of Indian
lands by Indian people.
AMERICAN INDIAN SPONSORSHIPS/SUPPORT
The Indian Land Tenure Foundation is solely
dedicated to support of Indian people and tribes through our grant making,
advocacy and
partnerships. We house the offices of Native Americans in
Philanthropy and the Inter-Tribal GIS Council. We also make
grants to tribes and tribal organizations.
AMERICAN INDIAN CASINO CUSTOMERS
The Foundation works more directly with tribes
and tribal organizations, in support of tribal business development on tribal
land,
than with the businesses managed by tribes. However, we will partner
with tribal businesses to fulfill our organization’s mission.
COMPANY STRENGTHS
The Indian Land Tenure Foundation offers an unencumbered approach
to land issue resolution. Our community driven process identifies land
concerns from a range of inputs and applies that information to our
grant making and partnerships. Our board of directors and staff also
bring a broad, representative experience to the decisions of the
organization. This various experience brings strength to our method.
We place
a high value on an informed Indian populace, which we believe builds strength
through awareness of process,
policy and land utilization. With these critical pieces in place,
our mission can be fulfilled.
